Style icon: Emma Watson

No, I'm not just doing this blog because I'm obsessed or whatever with Harry Potter. I mean, sure, if you put it that way; I was exposed to Emma Watson and her amazingness through the movies, but since then I love seeing blurbs about her being a style icon in magazines and online. Harry Potter is such a success that it even promotes great fashion, what's not to love?

An unknown actress before she starred as Hermione Granger in the film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, Emma Watson has since grown from a little bushy haired Gryffindor into a full-fledged fashionista, appearing at movie premieres in clothes designed specifically for her. Her latest achievement would be her new Burberry campaign, something well-suited for the gorgeous Brit:

The Harry Potter actress has graced the cover of Teen Vogue thrice, twice alone and once with co-star Daniel Radcliffe:

 She has also been featured front page on other magazines such as Elle, as well as numerous other fashion, entertainment, and teenage magazines:

 The young starlet may be entering her first year at Brown University soon, but that doesn't mean she is severing any ties she has with the fashion and acting world. The last two installments of Harry Potter—Deathly Hallows parts 1 and 2—are still being filmed, requiring Emma to stay in Britain a bit longer. Miss Watson is also on friendly terms with couture designer Karl Lagerfeld:

Overall, Emma Watson is a girl to watch. She has made the most of fashion, and always makes it looks good. Though some of her friends and co-stars (Bonnie Wright, Katie Leung, Evanna Lynch) may be noted for their sense of style, they are in no way a match for Emma. She outshines all others with her beauty and style. I, for one, am looking forward to seeing what trends she starts at Brown (and her kiss with Rupert Grint in the last HP film)!

Les jupes.

A skirt blog.
This one's short... just two photos (of me)!

un. This outfit was just a jumble of patterns, but was much better once I took off the cardigan! The polka dot tights were a big hit at school, too!
deux. Velma! Yes, I was emulating that wonderfully nerdy girl from Scooby Doo (below) [;

Les robes.

A blog about dresses (that I've worn).
I usually take pictures and upload them to Facebook when I'm wearing cute outfits. Here are some of those with me in dresses! The first was taken by a friend's mom at another friend's birthday, professional photography (L to R: me, Brandon, Joanne, Kimi)! Also, I have no idea why all these photos are so small, but they were just like that on Photobucket. They're all much bigger on Facebook! Oh, and I'm only going to go into detail about the dresses...

one. Tracy Feith for Target
two. French Atmosphere
three. Homemade [;
four. Jessica McClintock (Homecoming dress, which I already bought, and I'm not going to the dance)
five. Xhilaration
six. From my friend Tiffany (I can't find it to tell you the label)

Noir. Blanc. Rouge.

O, colour. How you aid my creativity. I love thee.
Yeah, perhaps je suis un peu folle... maybe not, but it seems to me that when I'm doubtful of a good outfit, I just stick to the old black and white and red. Those three colours never fail me—a combination of all three, or just two, or perhaps a monochromatic scheme—in fashion and art. (Though sometimes I wake up so late that I just throw on jeans and a tee shirt...) Okay, well here are some of my wonderful red, white, and black outfits!

one and two: approaching winter (GAP sweater, F21 [I rarely shop there] skirt, silk scarf, red tights, black leather pumps)
three: Party wear [oh, and that's my friend Ron next to me] (Ezekiel red plaid top, Attention cardigan, Xhilaration mini pencil skirt, black tights, pendant with the White Rabbit from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, and I wore these wonderfully soft Nine West flats outside)
four: first day of school (Ezekiel red plaid top, Eyeshadow jeans, Vans plaid Authentics, Fossil leather schoolbag, Dooney & Bourke plaid purse, Transformers lunchbox)
five: dressing room (I don't remember what dress this was, but it did cost 80 USD half off at Marshall's)
six: friends [Elizabeth, Jackie, and me] (Xhilaration Peter Pan collar tent dress, red tights, Roxy boots)
seven: Photoshop [photo courtesy of my cousin Kathleen, I Photoshopped it] (Babycakes tee, Attention cardigan)

Maymont.

Oh, back in August my parents took me and my neighbour Sophie up to Maymont mansion in Richmond. Before I decide to blog about how beautiful the house and grounds are, let me catch myself and blog instead about how much my feet hurt from walking hours straight! I made the brainless fashion decision of wearing a cute pair of wedges because they went well with my outfit, disregarding my mum's insistance that I put flip-flops on instead. Actually, I ended up taking off my shoes after a while, so I walked around barefoot, which didn't exactly feel good either. Anyway, it was a wonderful place and I took a great many delightful photos. Here are some photos of me that I had Sophie/mum/dad take (my two favourite are last)!

Dress: French Atmosphere
Cardigan: TakeOut
Purse: Fossil
Headband and shoes: I honestly can't recall
